Our Himalaya Cedarwood is premium grade, because it comes from wild cedar growth in the Himalayas in India.

Its botanical name is Cedrus deodara, which is derived from the Sanskrit word Devadaru meaning the ‘"wood of the gods": deva "god" and dāru "wood, tree". In India it is worshipped as a divine tree. It is a symbol of wisdom and strength.

Cedarwood tree and its essential oil is a divine cure for numerous ailments like bronchitis, cough, cold, insomnia, osteoarthritis. It has woody, radiant, balsamic odor.

  • Dilution is highly recommended if applying directly!

  • Antifungal, anti-infectious, antiseptic (urinary and pulmonary), astringent, diuretic, insect repellant, and sedative

  • It has been historically used to repel insects and calm

  • It has been known to help stimulate hair follicles and aid in hair growth and healing dandruff

  • May help with acne, anxiety, arthritis, congestion, coughs, inflammation, psoriasis, sinusitis, skin diseases, stroke, and water retention

  • I personally use this oil in my scorpion repellant and in my homemade shampoo

  • Blends well with bergamot, clary sage, cypress, eucalyptus, floral oils, juniper, resinous oils, and rosemary
